Refund Policy
Formulas and Beyond – Tutoring Services
Effective Date: 21st June 2025
1. General Policy
At Formulas and Beyond, we are committed to providing high-quality, personalised tutoring services. However, we understand that circumstances can change. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be issued.
2. Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a refund in the following situations:
❌ Lesson Cancellation by the Tutor
If I, the tutor, cancel a session and cannot reschedule it, a full refund for that session will be issued.
⚠️ Client Cancellation (with 24+ Hours' Notice)
You may cancel or reschedule a session with at least 24 hours’ notice.
For packages: Refunds will only be considered after the student has completed at least 80% of the sessions in the package. This ensures full engagement with the programme.
Any remaining unused sessions may be refunded at the tutor’s discretion, and will be recalculated based on the standard hourly rate (not the discounted package rate).
🚫 Late Cancellations and No-Shows
Less than 24 hours’ notice: No refund.
No-shows without prior communication: No refund.
Exceptions may be made for emergencies at the tutor’s discretion.
3. Package Bookings
For block bookings (e.g., 5 or 10 discounted lessons):
Refunds will only be offered for unused sessions after 80% of sessions have been completed.
Sessions already used will be recalculated at the standard hourly rate.
Refunds are not available after the full block has been completed.
4. Past Paper Marking / Feedback Services

If you purchase a marking service but change your mind before submitting any work, you may request a full refund.

Once work is submitted and feedback has been delivered, no refund will be issued.

If feedback is delayed unreasonably (beyond agreed timelines), a partial or full refund may be issued.
5. Dissatisfaction with a Lesson

If you are genuinely dissatisfied with the quality of a lesson, please contact me within 48 hours of the session.

Depending on the situation, I may offer a partial refund, credit toward a future session, or a free follow-up session.

This is handled on a case-by-case basis, and proof of the issue (e.g., misunderstanding, technical problem) may be required.
6. How to Request a Refund

Reason for the request
Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days, via the original payment method.
7. Right to Refuse Refunds
I reserve the right to decline refund requests that do not meet the terms above or are made in bad faith.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be available on the website or provided upon request.
