Refund Policy

Formulas and Beyond – Tutoring Services

Effective Date: 21st June 2025

1. General Policy

Formulas and Beyond is dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalised tutoring and academic support. This refund policy explains our approach to changes in scheduling, cancellations, and service dissatisfaction, ensuring transparency and fairness.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:

Tutor Cancellation

If a lesson must be cancelled by the tutor and cannot be rescheduled, a full refund for that session will be provided, unless the booking was made in bad faith (e.g., harassment or abuse).

Client Cancellation (with 24+ Hours' Notice)

Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.  

  • For package bookings, partial refunds for unused sessions are available only after at least 80% of the package is completed, and will be recalculated using the standard hourly rate, not the discounted rate.

Late Cancellations and No-Shows

  • If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or the student does not attend and does not inform the tutor beforehand, refunds cannot be provided.  

  • Exceptions may be granted for genuine emergencies at the tutor’s discretion.

3. Package Bookings

For block bookings (such as 5 or 10 lesson packages):

  • Refunds for unused sessions are available after at least 80% of the package has been attended.

  • Completed sessions will be recalculated at the standard hourly rate.

  • Once all sessions in a package are completed, refunds are not available.

4. Past Paper Marking / Feedback Services

  • If a marking/feedback service is purchased but you change your mind before submitting work, a full refund is available.

  • Once marking has begun and feedback delivered, refunds are not offered.

  • If feedback is unreasonably delayed beyond agreed timelines, partial or full refunds may be considered.

5. Dissatisfaction with a Lesson

Formulas and Beyond strives for every session to meet expectations. If dissatisfied with a lesson, please notify within 48 hours:

  • Options may include a free follow-up session, partial refund, or credit towards future sessions, as appropriate.

  • Proof of the issue (such as technical disruptions or misunderstandings) may be requested to help resolve concerns constructively.

6. Digital Products

All sales of digital products are final and non-refundable.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email formulasandbeyond@gmail.com with:

​

  • Your full name

  • Session date(s)

  • Reason for request

​

Refunds are normally processed within 5–7 business days using your original payment method.

​

8. Right to Refuse Refunds

Formulas and Beyond reserves the right to decline refund requests that do not meet these terms or are made in bad faith.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised. The latest version will be available on our website or provided upon request.
