Code of Conduct

1. Purpose

This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all students (and parents/guardians, where applicable) engaging with tutoring services provided by Formulas and Beyond. The aim is to create a respectful, supportive, and effective learning environment.

2. General Expectations

Students and parents/guardians are expected to:

• Be respectful and polite during all communications and tutoring sessions.

• Arrive on time and be prepared for each session with any required materials.

• Maintain a positive, growth-oriented attitude toward learning and feedback.

• Use appropriate language and behavior at all times.

• Notify the tutor in advance if a session needs to be rescheduled or cancelled.

3. Online Etiquette

For online sessions (e.g., via Zoom, Google Meet, etc.):

• Ensure a stable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free environment.

• Cameras should be on unless agreed otherwise in advance.

• No screenshots, screen recordings or session recordings are allowed without written permission.

• Students must not share session links or content with anyone else.

4. Academic Integrity

Students must:

• Complete their own schoolwork and assessments honestly.

• Avoid using tutoring sessions to receive direct answers for coursework or exams.

• Use feedback from marked work to learn and improve, not to bypass personal effort.

5. Parent/Guardian Involvement (if applicable)

Parents/guardians are encouraged to:

• Support the student’s learning outside of sessions.

• Communicate any concerns or questions directly and respectfully.

• Avoid interrupting live sessions unless necessary for the student’s well-being.

6. Unacceptable Behaviour

The following actions are not tolerated and may result in suspension or termination of tutoring services:

• Rudeness, aggression, or abusive language.

• Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory remarks.

• Consistent no-shows or last-minute cancellations without reasonable explanation.

• Dishonesty or misconduct related to academic work.

7. Consequences for Breaches

If this Code of Conduct is violated:

• A warning will be issued for minor breaches.

• Continued breaches may result in temporary suspension of services.

• Serious breaches (e.g., harassment, dishonesty) may lead to permanent termination of services without refund.

8. Acknowledgment

By booking and attending tutoring sessions with Formulas and Beyond, students (and their parents/guardians, if under 18) agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.
